In 2011 my babe and I took a last minute road trip to Bend, Oregon. We decided to use the 4th of July weekend, which meant lots of people and few campsites. Despite the crowds we found our way and got to enjoy lots of trees, fresh air, beers and avocado. I also got pulled over in the middle of the Umpqua National Forest for speeding, luckily no ticket was written.
I was able to travel in South America in 2010. Here are a few pictures from my Chilean leg of the journey. This was the first time I really traveled away from home for an extended period of time which was both fantastic and a challenge.
Some friends and I took a snowshoe backpacking trip into Little Yosemite Valley in the spring of 2009. It was one of my first real backpacking trips and I remember carrying a borrowed backpack that was huge and heavy. I’m glad that carrying heavy gear and clothing didn’t scare me away from backpacking! We were the first group up into the valley this spring, no tracks in the snow as we were heading up and the views were amazing.
My roadtrip up the coast through Northern California, Oregon, Washington and onto Vancouver island, with a nice pit stop in Yosemite on the way back ends today. Stoked for some film to get developed!
